Have you ever wondered what civil protection really means—or how ordinary people (just like you!) can become part of a strong, skilled, and resilient response team?

CPYC at a Glance is a hands-on event where you’ll explore what it means to prepare for emergencies, help others in a crisis, and build leadership and survival skills. Whether you're interested in volunteering, building confidence, or just having a fun day outdoors with your family—this event is for you.

What to Expect:

  • Try out real-world disaster scenarios in a safe, interactive setting

  • Practice emergency response skills like teamwork, first steps in crisis, and coordination

  • Connect with CPYC team members and volunteers to learn how to get involved

  • Enjoy a day of outdoor learning, physical activity, and community building

What to Bring:

  • Backpack

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Packed nut-free lunch + 2 snacks

  • Sun hat or cap

  • Sunscreen

  • Bug spray or repellent

  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes (no sandals)
