Kassandra Gervasi
Kassandra Gervasi is a Master of Arts candidate in Political Science at McGill University, specializing in Canadian Politics. Her research focuses on climate security, civil defence, and the role of federal institutions in strengthening Canada’s disaster response capacity. Having professional experience at NATO’s Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence (CCASCOE), where she worked on outreach and engagement as well as education and training initiatives, and at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), contributing to policy analysis and intergovernmental coordination, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges security, climate governance, and public administration. Her work reflects a strong commitment to system level reform, institutional governance, and practical implementation strategies that translate federal mandates into effective, community level action.
